footwear dilemma...

The boot on the left here is a traditional
Finnish "lapikas". The one on the right is
what you are supposed to wear when playing country music. Should one be faithful to ones heritage, and go for lapikas? Or shoud one try to imitate the "real" American style?
Man... This is difficult...

COUNTRY & WESTERINEN is a Helsinki-based country music project with no deadlines. It plays music from the more or less rockin´ edge of c&w -field.
For the time being it operates with material by some of the great artists linked below.

SOME OF US ARE TRUE BELIEVERS when it comes to C&W-music. Rest of us just admire the talent and taste the best artists in the genre reflect. Working with this music is challenging and fun -that´s for sure.

WE ARE:

All-U - gtr & b-vox
- The style captain of the group has got his musical background in rock music. Makes the everyday bread by doing sound & light -design & engineering.

T-Rox - lead vox
- The raw force voice and attitude with heavier rock background. As a singer turns into surprising sensitivity when required. Highly talented photographer as well, works the sound and light during normal working days.

AaHiiJ - ac. gtr, b-vox
- Responsible for vocal arrangements, a "foreman" in rehearsal situations as well. Pro musician who has spent 15 years on the road with the leading schlager and adult pop artists in Finland.

Ruff-E - bass
- Sturdy and stylish player who has played bass in rock bands - the older kind - since steam was first invented. Does tv-productions for living.

SaM - b-vox & add perc
- The highest voice in the groups vocal soundscape - occasionally hitting the note as well. Involved with live-event production management.

H. Nash - drums `n such
- One of the coolest pro drummers in Finland today. A-J got him tricked into a rehearsal once and the rest of us have been trying to convince him of the fact that country music is the ultimate path to eternal glory and fame in Finland. So far he has bought it.
